DAILY DUNKS WITH DOTO

Tonight, we get a five game slate and a half the teams are on a back to back (Boston, Toronto, Chicago, San Antonio and Utah). I tend to stay away from players who are on back to backs but tonight, we will have to play some because half the field is affected by this. There is only one superstar going and that is LeBron. I will find a way to squeeze him in my lineups because I want the security of him giving me 55-60 points tonight. I recommend locking him in and finding way to get a balanced team around him. Here are the cash games plays for tonight.

Point Guard

Kris Dunn- I don’t care if a young player is on a back to back, this match-up is too good to ignore. The Bulls have been playing well and this game should stay close. Dunn only scored 15 points last night but still ended up with 42.7 FD points (he did that in only 24 minutes). He fills up the stat sheet and those are the type of players we want. Jose Calderon defense in a up tempo game, sign me up!

Kyle Lowry- He only played 24 minutes last night so the back to back doesn’t bother me. Lowry is the poster boy for cash game lineups. Point Guard is ugly after the top three players (Irving, Dunn, Conley) and it’s looking like I am locking two of them in my lineups. Don’t get too cute tonight and look for value plays like last night. Lowry should be in our cash game lineups tonight.

Other plays I like: Mario Chalmers or Fred VanVleet

Shooting Guard

DeMar DeRozan- If you want to pay up at shooting guard, DeMar should be that choice. He played only 28 minutes last night and put up 37 FD points. Nobody on the Sixers can stop him and when they played earlier in the year he put up 30/3/3 in only 27 minutes. If this game stays close he should have no problem getting us 40 FD points. There aren’t many expensive options tonight and DeRozan will make for a good cash game play.

Tyreke Evans- Any chance I can roster someone who is playing up in pace and is playing the Suns, I look to play them. Evans is a stat sheet stuffer and he should have a field day on the Suns back court who all are below 6 feet tall. It doesn’t matter which one of those Christmas elves in the suns back court tries to stop him, it won’t happen. I want a piece of that late game and Evans gives me the player who will touch the ball the most on Memphis.

Other plays I like: Alec Burks or Bryn Forbes/Brandon Paul ( I am guessing Manu will rest and Danny Green left last night’s game with an injury. Whoever gets the start is in a good position)

Small Forward

LeBron James- He is the most expensive player on the slate and his ownership should be high. He is going to get 55+ fantasy points and on a slate with little star power he needs to be a fixture in our cash games. Last game against Chicago he had 34/2/13 with three steals. The game was close then and I am expecting it to be again. Lock and load LeBron tonight.

Kwahi Leonard- Kawhi’s price is $6,000 or below on both sites. I would expect that he sees more minutes tonight and if he can get between 20-25, he will smash value. This is a risky play but my sexual juices are flowing to see a top 3 player in the world be this cheap. I might have to fight the temptation of playing Kawhi tonight but I don’t know if my brain and handle this low price. If he is getting under 20 minutes avoid him but if he’s getting more, the juices will me over flowing tonight.

Other plays I like: T.J. Warren or Kyle Anderson

Power Forward

Nikola Mirotic- I guess the punch that broke his face is keeping him motivated this season. He has had five straight games of over 30 fantasy points and he only played 22 minutes last night. He will be good to go and this game might be the one to stack tonight. His two lowest scoring games in the last five have been blow outs so even if this game gets out of hand he will still get his. Good price and match-up tonight.

Dario Saric- Whenever Joel Embiid isn’t playing I lock and load Saric in my lineups. With the smaller slate we might need to play guys who aren’t in ideal situations. The minutes should be there and he is the second or third option on offense. Am I really recommending two white guys at power forward? YUP!

Other plays I like: Serge Ibaka, JaMychal Green

Center

Center is a little bit of a mess with Joel Embiid sitting. You can pay up for Kevin Love or play Al Horford who is coming off the worst game of the season. Alex Len is the man (for now) in Phoenix at center but he is going against Marc Gasol. Derrick Favors is coming off a back to back but if he gets us 25+ minutes he should dominate whoever the Spurs have a center. Tyson Chandler should match-up against Gasol and the Suns should play Len at the power forward at the same time but the match-up is difficult. I am leaning towards going with a LeBron and Love stack and building a lineup around those two. The others have potential but can blow up in our faces by halftime tonight.
