DAILY DUNKS WITH DOTO

Tonight we will slay the monster but for this article let’s focus on our cash game plays. I figured out a hard lesson last night. I was pumped that I was the only one to play both Lebron and Kevin Durant last night, but I learned that a stars and scrubs lineup does not do well in cash. Every night I learn something new. On the nights I do not cash I learn the most. We need to adapt to the super computers and we need to learn and get better. Here are my cash game plays for the night.

Point Guard:

Chris Paul - Chris Paul loves his new home in Houston. Over the last four games, he has scored over 43 DK points and he is at a good price on DK ($8,600). This will be a good game, he will have old man Tony Parker defense on him, and he should feast tonight. The Spurs will focus on stopping James Harden and CP3 should have no problem getting his. Paul is easily a $9,000 type of player so anywhere I can get a discount tonight, I will take it.

Kyle Lowry - He is coming off a poor game against the Phoenix Suns. His price on DK is perfect for cash games ($8,200) and he will love the bump up in pace versus Brooklyn. He should easily get us around 40 DK points and at his price he will open up more money to build a more balanced lineup. It’s hard to win in cash games without a balanced lineup and if you play Lowry and CP3, you are off to a good start.

Other plays I like: Lou Williams, Eric Bledsoe, Rajon Rondo

Shooting Guard:

DeMar DeRozan - DeMar has been a fixture in my cash game lineups over the last two weeks. He isn’t the one tricky pony that people in the DFS world think he is. He has been getting over five assist and rebounds regularly and with him being an elite scorer, he is a safe play. Toronto is in a good spot tonight. I will be game stacking the Raptors and most will avoid them because of the blow out factor. The Nets keep games close and this should be a high scoring game.

Gary Harris - If Will Barton is a no go he is a lock and load tonight. Last game without Barton he scored 53 DK points. The Pelicans guards don’t scare me defensively and Harris should have no problem getting buckets tonight. This game will be a sneaky game to stack because both teams are allergic to playing defense it seems like on most nights. Even with Barton in he will still have a solid game and should be in your cash game lineups.

Others plays I like: E’Twaun Moore, Danny Green, Alex Abrines

Small Forward:

Rudy Gay - Kwahi should still be on a minute’s restriction and this bump in pace will be good for him. Even if he comes off the bench, he will be the main scorer on the second unit. Houston is good and the Spurs will have to keep up with them. Rudy is one of their more talents players on offense and he will go lower owned since the return of Kwahi.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson - Every game he plays he just looks like one of the most athletic players on the court. The only thing that scares me is he played big minutes last night (37) and the Raptors have been good at slowing down forwards. He should be safe for cash games tonight but I am scared of the back to back.

Other plays I like: Otto Porter, Al-Farouq Aminu or Joe Ingles

Power Forward:

You guessed it, LaMarcus Aldridge - Even with Kwahi back, he still put up 23 shots last game. I think the team is realizing how talented he is on the offensive end of the court. He gets Ryan Anderson defense, which gets the juices flowing. He is match-up proof but any game where he can get some extra possessions, I like it. He plays big minutes, has a safe floor and has showed his upside, which is around 60. He price has dropped and I will take the discount tonight. Lock and load (again).

Bobby Portis- It doesn’t matter who is in the lineup, his price is hard to ignore. He is a fantasy point per minute player and if Markkanen does sit tonight that will only boost his value. If he gets around 25 minutes tonight he will give us good value at his price.

Other plays I like: Dario Saric, Al Horford, Serge Ibaka

Center:

Marc Gasol - The Atlanta Hawks are bad at everything for when it comes to basketball. Gasol should have a field day on their bigs tonight. Last game was an off game and that will drive down his ownership. I will be locking and loading him in my lineups and he should be back around the 35-40 DK points that he averages nightly.

Clint Capela - He goes over looked and tonight he gets to old man Pau Gasol defense. He should dominate on the boards and for some reason his price is dropping. At $6,400 on DK he is a steal and I will be plugging him if I decide to go off of Gasol. He is in a good spot tonight and will go lower owned because people are scared to go against the Spurs, don’t be tonight and load Capela in your lineups.

Other plays I like: Jonas Valanciunas, Robin Lopez, Trevor Booker

Dunks of the night: DeMar DeRozan, LaMarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, Lou Williams
